                         Medical Coding is the transformation of a patient's healthcare procedures, equipment used, signs and symptoms, diagnosis and more into universally accepted alphanumeric codes. These codes are later billed to insurance companies to claim insurance for payment purposes. These codes must be accurate as they make up the whole claim.

                      ICD Codes or International Classification of Diseases are set of codes published and managed by World Health Organisation (WHO) . These codes are diagnostic codes which contains signs and symptoms or any other abnormal behaviors in a patient. For instance ICD code, M54.2 denotes Cervicalgia.
